Grillz Sydney

Every grillz style, explained

Grillz Sydney casts open face, full set, single cap, fang, bar, diamond-cut and stone-set grillz from a mould of your own teeth, in silver, dental gold/chrome or 9K–18K gold. Prices start from A$140 per tooth, with turnaround of 5–10 business days for plain metal and 10–15 business days for gold or stone-set pieces. This guide covers the shapes and metals so you can brief us precisely before your mould appointment.

Shapes and coverage

The shape decides how much metal shows and how the set feels in the mouth. Open face leaves the front of each tooth visible through a cut-out frame, so the metal sits as a slim border rather than a solid cap — a lighter look and a lighter piece. A full set covers the whole tooth, front and sides, and reads as the boldest, most solid style.

Single caps are a one-tooth starting point, usually a front tooth or a canine, and the cheapest way to wear real metal day to day. Fangs are shaped single caps with a pointed tip rather than a flat edge, worn alone or as part of a wider set. Bars are a simple top or bottom strip that sits across several teeth without full individual coverage — a quicker, lighter-weight option for a top row.

  • Open face — cut-out front, lightest feel, shows your natural tooth through the frame
  • Full set — complete coverage, the boldest and most solid look
  • Single cap — one tooth, the most affordable way to start
  • Fangs — pointed single caps, worn solo or within a larger set
  • Bars — a slim strip across several teeth, quick to wear and lighter in the mouth

What's the difference between open face and a full set?

Open face grillz have a cut-out front so your natural tooth still shows through a metal frame — lighter and more understated. A full set covers the whole tooth with solid metal, giving the boldest, most complete look. Both are cast from the same mould and cost the same per tooth for a given metal.

Diamond-cut and iced finishes

Diamond-cut is a faceted surface finish cut into the metal itself — angled facets that catch the light as you move, without adding any stones. It works on single caps or full sets and suits anyone who wants extra sparkle without the cost of stone-setting.

Iced and stone-set grillz carry moissanite or lab diamonds set into the metal, usually along a full set or a bar. Stone choice and count set the price far more than the metal underneath, so tell us the carat look you're after and we'll cost it in AUD from the PRICE_MENU figures below rather than guessing.

Is diamond-cut the same as iced or stone-set grillz?

No. Diamond-cut is a faceted finish cut straight into the metal — no stones, no extra setting work. Iced or stone-set grillz have real moissanite or lab diamonds set into the piece, which costs considerably more and adds to the turnaround.

Metals: silver, dental gold/chrome and 9K–18K gold

Silver is the lightest and most affordable metal, a mirror finish from A$140 per tooth. Dental gold / chrome is a durable, budget-friendly alternative with a gold tone, popular for everyday single caps.

Solid gold comes in 9K, 14K and 18K, each available in white, yellow or rose gold at the same price per karat — the colour is a finishing choice, not an upcharge. 9K is the hardest and palest, 14K sits in the middle for everyday wear, and 18K carries the deepest colour and softest metal. All gold and stone-set pieces take 10–15 business days to cast and finish.

  • Silver — from A$140 per tooth
  • Dental gold / chrome — from A$175 per tooth
  • 9K gold — from A$430 per tooth
  • 14K gold — from A$590 per tooth
  • 18K gold — from A$780 per tooth
  • Silver + VVS moissanite — from A$250 per tooth
  • Silver + VVS lab diamond — from A$320 per tooth
  • 9K gold + moissanite — from A$590 per tooth
  • 9K gold + VS lab diamond — from A$760 per tooth
  • 9K gold + natural VS diamond — from A$1,100 per tooth
  • 14K gold + VVS lab diamond — from A$950 per tooth
  • 14K gold + natural VS diamond — from A$1,300 per tooth
  • 18K gold + VVS lab diamond — from A$1,200 per tooth
  • 18K gold + natural VS diamond — from A$1,500 per tooth

Does gold colour — white, yellow or rose — change the price?

No. White, yellow and rose gold cost the same at the same karat (9K, 14K or 18K). The colour comes from the alloy mix used when casting, not from a different grade of gold, so it's a styling decision rather than a price decision.

Which metal should I start with?

Silver or dental gold/chrome are the usual starting points — affordable, quick to turn around in 5–10 business days, and a good way to confirm fit and shape before ordering solid gold. 9K gold is the most durable solid-gold option if you want to move straight to a real karat piece.
